WHAT IS THE NDIS??
NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme that provides funding support to people aged under 65 with a significant and permanent disability. The idea of a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was launched in 2014 with an expected full rollout in 2018.
The NDIS was designed to help people with a disability obtain the support they need to improve their skills and independence over time, promoting reasonable and necessary funding to people with a permanent and significant disability to access the support and services they need.
